The mission of singer and songwriter RobP is to invite audiences into his world by way of his music. The R&B, Pop and Hip Hop artist hailing from New York is set to release his debut EP titled “Set the Mood Right” at the end of the summer. Deeming himself an early student of music, RobP. first learned to play the trumpet in elementary school which sparked a greater interest in pursuing the art form as his craft. RobP. began writing songs by the time he was in middle school and drew the attention of friends when he started entering rap battles. Music was not just a hobby or past time to RobP but a true passion that he continues to goes to bed with and wake up to daily. Working towards a music degree and continuing to write songs demonstrates that RobP is truly vested in pursuing his music as a full time career. Transcending beyond an artist RobP would like to become a vocal coach for upcoming artists down the road in addition to a mentor as a way of giving back. Music is a form of expression that RobP doesn’t take for granted and his long term goal is to reach people on a global scale.

RobP compares his sound to the soft and sultry tone of the singer Lloyd combined with the abstract style of rap artist Andre 3000. Along with the mentioned artists, RobP notes some of his influences as Michael Jackson, Mario and Common. With his unique style, RobP blends R&B and Hip Hop seamlessly. Shooting straight from the heart with emotion, RobP wants his audience to access his mind and thoughts through lyrics and vocals in the same manner as pages from a best seller book. When it comes to rapping RobP is a lyricist with messages about struggles, finding inspiration and dealing with daily challenges including poverty. RobP wants to show that an artist can exist outside of a box with versatility and the ability to speak what is on his mind. RobP has released the hot new singles “Set You Free,” “Can I Be the One,” and “Let the Night Take Ova You,” in anticipation of his debut EP titled “Set the Mood Right.” RobP has embarked upon a promotional blitz campaign for his new EP and is looking to hit the road to perform his music live soon..
